Responsibilities & Context

Key Responsibilities:

• Network Management: Design, configure, and maintain LAN, WAN, wireless networks, video surveillance systems, IP PABX, and related infrastructure.
• Device Installation & Support: Install, troubleshoot, and support routers, switches, firewalls, and other network devices.Cybersecurity: Implement and manage security protocols, including antivirus software, firewalls, and access controls, to protect IT systems.
• Performance Monitoring: Proactively monitor network performance, ensure 24/7 system availability, and resolve outages promptly.
• Documentation: Maintain detailed records of network architecture, configurations, and troubleshooting procedures.
• Disaster Recovery: Support backup procedures and disaster recovery plans for the network infrastructure.
• User Support: Provide day-to-day technical assistance to end-users, diagnose hardware/software/network issues, and escalate complex problems as needed.
• Collaboration: Work with departments to identify technological needs and deliver tailored IT solutions.Miscellaneous: Perform any other departmental tasks assigned by the Supervisor.

  Qualifications Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, or a related field.5+ years of hands-on experience in network systems, system support, or similar roles.
  • Proficiency in configuring and managing LAN/WAN, wireless networks, IP PABX, and video surveillance systems.
  • Strong knowledge of routers, switches, cybersecurity tools (e.g., antivirus, VPNs).
  • Certifications such as CCNA, CompTIA Network+ are preferred.
  • Excellent problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
