Responsibilities & Context

Develop, test, and maintain high-quality mobile applications for Android and iOS platforms.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including designers, product managers, and other developers, to implement app features according to specifications.
Write efficient, reusable, and reliable code following best practices.
Integrate mobile apps with backend services, third-party APIs, and cloud-based services.
Work with backend developers to ensure smooth data exchange and functionality.
Implement secure and efficient data storage, synchronisation, and retrieval processes.
Perform unit testing, integration testing, and debugging to ensure the quality and functionality of the apps.
Collaborate with QA teams to identify and fix bugs, performance issues, and other defects.

Continuously improve app responsiveness and performance through code optimization and architecture enhancements.
Use version control systems (e.g., Git) to manage code changes and collaborate with other developers.
Participate in continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) processes to automate testing and deployment.
Implement security best practices to protect user data and ensure compliance with industry standards.
Stay informed about the latest security threats and updates in mobile app development.
Provide ongoing support for existing mobile applications, including bug fixes, updates, and feature enhancements.
Ensure compatibility with new operating system versions and mobile devices.
Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends, technologies, and tools in mobile app development.
Explore and implement new technologies, frameworks, and methodologies to improve app performance and user experience.
Create and maintain technical documentation, including design specifications, code documentation, and user guides.
Document app development processes, workflows, and best practices.
Communicate with clients, stakeholders, and team members to gather requirements, provide updates, and address feedback.
Participate in meetings and discussions to ensure alignment with project goals and timelines.
Provide guidance and mentorship to junior developers and interns.
Participate in code reviews, knowledge-sharing sessions, and team training activities.
Participate in Agile/Scrum development processes, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives.
