Requirements

Education

B.Sc./ M.Sc. in CSE/ IT/ MIS/ Software Engineering/ ECE/ EEE or equivalent and relevant engineering degree.

Experience

  • At least 12 years

Additional Requirements

  • Age at most 40 years (as per NID card)

  • At least 3 years of experience in managing a Tier 3 (or higher) data center.

  • Proven ability to manage and lead technical teams effectively.

  • Proficiency in infrastructure technologies such as virtualization (VMware, Hyper-V), networking (Cisco, Palo Alto, Sophos, Juniper), storage (SAN, NAS), Servers (Dell, Cisco & HP) and disaster recovery solutions.

  • Nice to have hands-on experience with DevOps tools like Docker, Kubernetes, Jenkins, Ansible, Terraform, or similar.

  • Solid knowledge in networking protocols, firewalls, load balancers, and VPNs.

  • Experience in monitoring tools and log management solutions (e.g., Solar wind, Nagios, Prometheus, ELK stack).

  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to make quick, informed decisions.

  • The applicant must be a non-smoker.

  • Smart and well-conversant maintaining professionalism.

  • Excellent in critical thinking and problem-solving ability.

  • Good written & verbal communication skills in English & Bengali.

  • Certifications (Preferred): Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP), VMware Certified Professional (VCP), Microsoft Certified System Engineer (MCSE).

Responsibilities & Context

ASA is one of the biggest MFIs in the country as well in the world with around 26 thousand employees serving around 71 lakh clients across the country. Here all the applications are developed by our in-house IT team. ASA is in the process of digital transformation of its 3073 branches’ operations involving per day more than 90 (ninety) lakh transactions in the system of more than 26000 users. ASA welcomes you to take part in the initial challenges of this transformation.

  • Oversee day-to-day operations and management of the Tier 3 Data Center (DC) & Disaster Recovery (DR) site, ensuring uptime, redundancy, and efficiency.

  • Design, deploy, and maintain scalable and secure IT infrastructure, including Enterprise graded servers, networks, storage systems (SAN), and backup solutions.

  • Ensure compliance with industry standards and best practices in infrastructure management, including ISO, ITIL, and disaster recovery planning.

  • Collaborate with software development and QA teams to implement DevOps best practices, including CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure as code, and automated testing.

  • Drive adoption of modern DevOps tools and technologies such as Docker, Kubernetes, Jenkins, Ansible, and Terraform.

  • Improve infrastructure efficiency by integrating automation tools for routine tasks like monitoring, patching, scaling, and reporting.

  • Manage relationships with key vendors, including hardware suppliers and third-party maintenance services.

  • Negotiate contracts, service level agreements (SLAs), and ensure cost-effective procurement of infrastructure services as required/requested.

  • Work closely with internal teams and external vendors to resolve infrastructure-related issues and ensure system reliability as required/requested.

  • Ensure that the infrastructure complies with security policies, standards, and regulatory requirements.

  • Implement and maintain security related best practices to protect systems from potential threats.

  • Conduct regular audits and vulnerability assessments (VA & PT) and create mitigation strategies for identified risks.

  • Lead and mentor the IT infrastructure team for ensuring continuous improvement and professional growth.

  • Foster a collaborative environment that encourages knowledge sharing and team productivity.

  • Define and monitor KPIs for infrastructure performance and team output.

  • Undertake any other lawful responsibilities as assigned by the office/supervisor.

Compensation & Other Benefits

  • Probation period will be 1 (one) year long. After successful completion of the probationary period, the employee will be accommodated in the regular Pay Scale of ASA.

  • All admissible benefits like contributory provident fund, gratuity, yearly increment, festival allowance, Naboborsho allowance, welfare fund and employees group benefit fund will be attributed as per organizational policy.
