Requirements

  • Experience in managing maintenance projects, including budgeting, scheduling, and resource allocation.

  • The role may require physical activities, such as lifting, climbing, and working in confined spaces.

Responsibilities & Context

Job Summary:

The Senior Mechanical Maintenance Engineer is responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing maintenance tasks for all mechanical equipment within the facility. This role involves troubleshooting, repairing, and optimizing mechanical systems to minimize downtime and improve overall plant performance. The engineer will also play a key role in developing and implementing maintenance strategies, supervising junior staff, and ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory standards.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement preventive and predictive maintenance programs for all mechanical systems and equipment.
  • Coordinate and execute corrective maintenance tasks, including troubleshooting and repairing mechanical failures.
  • Monitor the condition of critical mechanical equipment, including pumps, compressors, turbines, and piping systems.
  • Ensure that spare parts and tools are available and in good condition to support maintenance activities.
  • Lead and manage mechanical maintenance projects, such as overhauls, upgrades, and installations.
  • Work with cross-functional teams, including operations, electrical, and instrumentation engineers, to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.
  • Implement best practices in maintenance management and introduce new technologies where applicable.
  • Coordinate with external vendors and contractors for specialized maintenance tasks and equipment servicing.
