Requirements
Education
- Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery(MBBS)
- M.B.B.S, BMDC registered; good written and verbal communication in English.
- For Senior Medical Officer: at least 3 years of documented working experience in well reputed hospital(s).
- PGT training in medicine and/or any additional training or qualifications will be added benefit.
- Part 1 is preferred but not mandatory.
- For Registrar, at least 5 years of documented working experience in well reputed hospital(s).
- PGT training in medicine and or any additional training or qualifications will be added benefit.
- FCPS/MD/MRCP Part 1 completed candidates will be given preference but not mandatory.
Experience
- 3 to 5 years
- The applicants should have experience in the following business area(s): NGO
Additional Requirements

Responsibilities & Context
LAMB is a well-run major mission Hospital, Community Health Development, Training and Research organization. Services cover more than 6.3 million people in North West Bangladesh. The hospital has a 150 bed capacity, with fully equipped wards, labour room and operating theatres, plus a broad range of investigation facilities including digital X-ray, USG, ECHO, Endoscopy and ECG.
The Hospital has departments of Obs-gynae, Paediatrics, Medicine, Surgery, Dermatology, Palliative Care, Dental Unit, Nursing and a Rehabilitation Centre for Children with Disability.
LAMB is now looking for:
Job Summary: Work within a team caring for in-patients and out-patients, mostly general medicine with options of all basic investigations including ultrasound, echocardiography, and digital X-ray. Emergency and on-call coverage backup to a junior doctor. Being responsible for quality care, following and updating our guidelines, teaching and supervising junior doctors and paramedics. While working at LAMB, doctors also have the opportunity:
- To participate in clinical audit projects and research
- To teach in LAMB Training Centre and Nursing Institute
- To learn clinical sonography with extensive hands on opportunity
- To prepare and get sponsored for MRCP (UK)examination (conditions apply)
Young senior with close support from backup
- This is the probationary year after promotion to SMO
- Able to take admissions and round and certain procedures alone, asking for help where necessary, supervising and training junior doctors
- Takes initiative to study and improve own skills
