Additional Requirements
- 3-5 years of proven experience in merchandising, preferably in a buying house or RMG (Ready-Made Garment) industry/ Priority Jacket, Outerwear Product.
Skills:
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.
- Strong understanding of garment manufacturing processes, costing, and sourcing.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities & Context
Department: Merchandising / Apparel / Retail.
Location: Uttara, Dhaka-1230.
Job Responsibilities:
- Manage end-to-end merchandising activities from product development through to order shipment.
- Act as the primary point of contact between buyers and suppliers to ensure clarity and timely flow of information.
- Oversee costing, sampling, order placement, production follow-up, and shipment coordination.
- Evaluate and negotiate prices with suppliers to ensure profitability and competitiveness.
- Supervise and mentor junior merchandisers to enhance team performance.
- Collaborate with quality assurance, production, and logistics teams to meet delivery deadlines and quality standards.
- Analyze customer preferences, market trends, and sales data to guide product planning and assortment.
- Ensure adherence to compliance, testing, and documentation requirements as per buyer standards.
