We are seeking a highly motivated and qualified Agriculturist for our audit team who will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and compliance of agricultural practices within the organization. S/he will be responsible for conducting audits of seed production centers, agricultural operations, fish hatcheries and related facilities, evaluating adherence to established standards, regulations, and best practices.

JOB PURPOSE

We are seeking a highly motivated and qualified Agriculturist for our audit team who will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and compliance of agricultural practices within the organization. S/he will be responsible for conducting audits of seed production centers, agricultural operations, fish hatcheries and related facilities, evaluating adherence to established standards, regulations, and best practices.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Conduct comprehensive audits of production centers (rice, maize, potato, vegetable) and fish hatcheries, agricultural operations, and related facilities, evaluating compliance with established standards, regulations, and best practices;
  • Assess the effectiveness of internal controls related to agricultural production, processing, and marketing activities.
  • Identify potential risks and areas for improvement in agricultural practices, recommending corrective actions to ensure compliance and optimize efficiency;
  • Prepare detailed audit reports, documenting findings, observations, and recommendations.
  • Communicate effectively with stakeholders, including farmers, management, and regulatory agencies.
  • Stay up to date on relevant agricultural regulations, industry best practices, and auditing methodologies.
  • Communicate with different zones, divisions, and sections within the department for successfully implementation of annual audit plan.
  • Maintain co-ordination with programmes and other department for audit related matters and regarding update of circular during the year.

SAFEGUARDING RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Ensure the safety of Programme Participants, people who come into contact with the organisation and team members from any harm, abuse, neglect, harassment and exploitation including sexual exploitation and abuse (SEA) to achieve the programme’s goals of safeguarding implementation. Act as a key source of support, guidance and expertise on safeguarding for establishing a safe working environment.
  • Practice, promote and endorse the issues of safeguarding policy among team members and ensure the implementation of safeguarding standards in every course of action.
  • Follow the safeguarding reporting procedure in case any reportable incident takes place and encourage others to do so.
