Responsibilities & Context
- *Production Planning and Control:*
- Develop and implement production schedules to meet demand forecasts.
- Ensure efficient utilization of resources and minimize downtime.
- Oversee inventory management and raw material procurement.
- *Process Optimization:*
- Continuously assess and improve manufacturing processes to enhance efficiency, reduce waste, and lower costs.
- Implement lean manufacturing principles and Six Sigma methodologies.
- Quality Assurance:*
- Establish and maintain quality control standards to ensure products meet or exceed customer expectations.
- Implement quality improvement initiatives and corrective actions for any identified issues.
- *Supply Chain Management:*
- Manage end-to-end supply chain operations, including procurement, production, warehousing, and distribution.
- Coordinate with suppliers and vendors to ensure timely delivery of raw materials and components.
- 5. *Logistics and Distribution:*
- Oversee the transportation and distribution of finished goods to customers.
- Optimize logistics routes and methods to reduce costs and improve delivery times.
- *Team Leadership and Development:*
- Lead and mentor the operations team, including production managers, quality control personnel, and logistics staff.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement and professional development.
- *Safety and Compliance:*
- Ensure compliance with industry regulations, health and safety standards, and environmental policies.
- Implement safety programs and conduct regular safety audits.
- *Performance Monitoring and Reporting:*
- Track key performance indicators (KPIs) for production, quality, and logistics.
- Prepare regular reports for senior management on operational performance, challenges, and improvements.
- *Technology and Innovation:*
- Identify and implement new technologies and automation to enhance manufacturing and distribution efficiency.
- Stay updated with industry trends and innovations.
- *Risk Management:*
- Identify potential risks in the production and distribution processes and develop mitigation strategies.
- Ensure business continuity plans are in place and regularly updated.
- *Strategic Planning:*
- Contribute to the development of the company’s strategic goals and align operational strategies accordingly.
- Participate in long-term planning for capacity expansion, product development, and market growth.
