Education
- Diploma in Textile Engineering
Experience
- 6 to 8 years
- The applicants should have experience in the following business area(s): Buying House, Garments
Additional Requirements
- Age At least 30 years
- Technical Knowledge: Strong ability to read and interpret technical specification sheets (Tech Packs), measurement charts, and fabrics etc.
- Attention to Detail: Exceptional eye for detail to spot minor shading issues, yarn defects, and structural irregularities, all print/emb findings and approval.
- Communication: Good verbal communication skills to explain defects to floor operators and report to management.
- Familiarity with international buyer quality standards (e.g., H&M, Primark, Takko quality protocols).
Responsibilities & Context
- Conduct regular inline/inspections at various stages of production, including fabric, stitching, and finishing.
- Perform AQL (Acceptable Quality Limit) sampling inspections on semi-finished and finished goods and reports daily basis to Team leader.
- Identify defects such as fabrics, print, embroideries, shading variations, measurement deviations, and stains.
- Measure garments against the approved buyer spec sheets and tech packs to ensure size accuracy.
- Check stretch ability, rib recovery, and overall fit parameters specific to knitwear and woven.
- Isolate defective pieces and immediately report systemic issues to the Floor Supervisor or Production Manager.
- Work alongside the knitting and assembly teams to troubleshoot the root cause of recurring defects (e.g., machine malfunctions or yarn flaws).
- Maintain accurate daily quality reports, defect logs, and inspection checklists.
- Provide feedback to the Team lead Manager regarding production quality reports.
