Additional Requirements
5+ years of experience in backend development, with a strong focus on PHP and related frameworks (Laravel, Symfony, etc.). Experience with Golang is a plus
Proven track record of building and maintaining large-scale, highly available backend systems
Deep understanding of RESTful APIs, concurrency, asynchronous design, microservices architecture, and experience with relational databases (e.g. MySQL, PostgreSQL), caching technologies (e.g. Redis), message brokers (e.g. RabbitMQ)
Experience with performance tuning and scaling backend services to handle large volumes of traffic
Familiarity with DevOps tools and practices, including Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD pipelines, and major cloud environments
Responsibilities & Context
Architect, design, and develop backend services and APIs using PHP/Golang and related technologies to ensure the platform is scalable and secure
Continuously improve system performance and reliability, monitor and optimize performance of every API built
Work closely with product managers and front-end engineers to build end-to-end features, ensure smooth integration across the entire application stack
Enforce high standards for code quality, security, and documentation. Implement best practices in backend development, including unit testing, code reviews, and CI/CD pipelines
Consistently review performance characteristics, system design and architecture to allow for systems to scale and operate reliably, ensuring high-availability and low latency
Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior developers, contributing to the growth and improvement of the team’s technical expertise
Design systems to be fault tolerant and adaptable to the unique needs and limitations of different user profiles
