Responsibilities & Context

• Report to GM & Head of ICT Division
• Department Server & Database
• Server:
• Server administrators need a blend of technical and soft skills, including proficiency in operating systems, networking, security, scripting, and problem-solving, along with strong communication and organizational abilities.
• Operating Systems: In-depth knowledge of Linux (e.g., Red Hat, Ubuntu) and Windows Server, including installation, configuration, and maintenance.
• Networking: Understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, firewalls, VPNs, and other network protocols.
• Security: Expertise in implementing and maintaining server security protocols, including firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and vulnerability assessments.
• Scripting and Automation: Proficiency in scripting languages like Bash, Python, or PowerShell to automate tasks and streamline server management.
• Virtualization: Familiarity with virtualization technologies like VMware or Hyper-V.
• Databases: Knowledge of database systems (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL, SQL Server) and their administration.
• Troubleshooting: Strong problem-solving abilities to diagnose and resolve technical issues quickly and efficiently.
• Backup and Recovery: Understanding of backup and recovery procedures to ensure data integrity and availability.
• Cloud Computing: Knowledge of cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and their services.
• Documentation: Ability to maintain accurate records of system changes, troubleshooting directories, and configuration designs.
• Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills to collaborate with colleagues, clients, and technical support teams.
