Responsibilities & Context

• Study technical sheets, production samples, and patterns to understand quality requirements.

• Verify fabric, trims, threads, and accessories to ensure they meet quality standards before production.

• Confirm that sewing machines are properly set up and calibrated for production.

• Monitor the sewing process at different stages to identify defects early.

• Check for issues such as incorrect stitching, skipped stitches, thread tension, or alignment errors.
• Verify seam allowances, stitch types, and measurements comply with quality standards.

• Ensure consistency across products in terms of design, size, and fit.

• Provide immediate feedback and training to sewing operators to correct errors and improve techniques.
• Inspect garments for defects like puckering, open seams, loose threads, or misaligned patterns.

• Measure and verify that garments meet size and specification requirements.

• Conduct inspections according to AQL standards and identify rejected items.

• Maintain detailed records of defects, corrective actions, and overall quality performance.

• Prepare quality reports and communicate findings to supervisors and management.

• Collaborate with production managers, pattern makers, and sewing operators to ensure smooth workflow.

• Work with the maintenance team to resolve machine-related quality issues.

• Identify recurring defects and implement corrective and preventive actions.

• Recommend process improvements to enhance product quality and reduce wastage.

• Ensure that all quality checks align with company and customer standards.

• Follow safety protocols and ensure compliance with workplace regulations.
