Education

  • 3-Years Diploma in Nursing or Midwifery – Essential, BSc in Nursing or Midwifery – Desirable. Valid Registration/License from BNMC is required.
  • Sexual Reproductive Health, Family planning or EVA, trainings are desirable.

Experience

  • Minimum 1 year experience working with survivors of gender-based violence or sexual violence or raising awareness and engaging communities about gender-based violence or sexual violence- essential.
  • Minimum 1 year Experience in the provision of SAC, STI and Family planning services-essential.
  • Two years of minium experience supervising a team is preferred.
  • Experience working in Refugee context or with Rohingya population is preferred.
  • Experience with NGO (international or local) is preferrable
  • Experience in either coaching, mentoring, training and capacity building is desirable.
  • Experience working in child protection is desirable.
  • Experience providing community awareness, information, education and communication activities or health promotion desirable.

Language

  • Fluency in English and Bangla is essential. Fluency in Chittagonian dialect or Rohingya language is preferred

Responsibilities & Context

Design, and monitor implementation of Strategies:

  • Being responsible for assessing the community perception of sexual violence, the perceived needs of survivors of sexual violence and reasons survivors do not seek health care
  • In collaboration with the MWAM, develop, monitor and evaluate strategies for MSF’s SV approach in the project based on MSF’s overall strategy and procedures for SV

Outreach and awareness:

  • Being responsible for training, support and if required follow up outreach team for SGBV, STI & FP awareness raising and community engagement to improve awareness raising activities and community dialogue ; discussion and messaging materials and methods regarding the medical and psychological consequences of SV, availability of medical and psychosocial care and the importance of timely access to medical care
  • Being responsible for identifying and engaging with the key target groups of trusted, respected community members and support services for outreach activities together with the outreach team

Medical and psychosocial care:

  • Responsible for the set-up of care pathway and facilities for SGBV, FP, SAC and STI activities in line with MSF SV guidelines and MSF standards and procedures
  • Being responsible for the application of the 5 steps of implementation with the main objective to create timely access to quality and comprehensive medical and psychosocial care to survivors of sexual violence and intimate partner violence (IPV).

Referral and coordination:

  • Ensure information on the available support services for survivors of SGBV is gathered, a referral pathway is in place and that referrals are monitored and evaluated
  • Participate in SV sub-cluster meetings and maintain contacts; communicate and coordinate with the different formal and informal support services

Monitoring and evaluations:

  • Ensure relevant data is captured using the SGBV data tool, stored, while ensuring confidentiality,
  • Participate in routine data analyses when required

Training

  • Identify training needs, organize and coordinate training, coaching and supervision about SGBV, STI, FP and SAC for MSF healthcare providers and other MSF staff members, including community outreach teams and other staff, based on the findings of learning needs assessments, knowledge, attitude and practices questionnaires and observation

Context Specific Accountabilities

The SGBV and SRH activity supervisor is based in Balukhali SOPD. Her role will be to:

• Train, mentor and support SGBV and SRH care providers to;

o Regularly re-asses knowledge and skills using the competency checklist

o Provide on-the-job mentoring and support

o Deliver training sessions to SV care providers

• Improve safe identification of survivors in clinic setting following MSF protocol and training core medical staff.

• Ensure the care provision room is welcoming and friendly for survivors

• Ensure close collaboration with mental health counsellors and team to support beneficiaries

o Regularly discuss information materials/methods with SV messages, adapt/improve, and support implementation of new materials and methods

o Ensure the provision of family planning methods and medication for survivors and FP clients are given appropriately and in line with MSF protocol.

• Ensure effective collaboration between colleagues and all departments including advocacy team for safe referral pathways when further services are needed i.e. shelter.

• SGBV briefing to all newly recruited staffs (LRS and IMS), in their orientation schedule.

• Identifying SGBV sensitization training needs and do the arrangement in the project.

• Conducting regular comprehensive training SV and IPV care management for medical and non-medical staff.

• Participation in MSF intersectional SGBV and CXB-SGBV sub-cluster meetings as per schedule

• Ensures that HR policy is followed and that a timely rostering and holiday planning is in place

• Conduct data reporting and analysis (review SGBV registration book, update SGBV tool, write monthly medical report )

• Participates in annual planning, provide solutions and action plans for identified challenges, including follow-up on these action plans

• In accordance with MSF protocols and MWAM support, supervise the midwives in the provision of SAC and Family planning services to SGBV survivors and women of reproductive age.

• Organizing SGBV committee meeting along with MWAM in collaboration with relevant department.

• Collaborate with lab manager and ensure lab tests are done properly following SOP.

• Supervise regular awareness activities regarding SRH&SGBV inside the clinic.

• Conduct regular case discussion/on jobs training to improve capacity of learning

Compensation & Other Benefits

Contract and Benefit

It’s a Permanent contract. Salary according to level Seven (7) of the internal MSF salary grid (BDT 78,000 Gross). Salary is not negotiable. Income tax deduction from salary based on current income tax rule. 2 annual leave days per month worked. Medical insurance for employee and direct dependents based on Health Care Policy- Locally Recruited Staff.

Others

There is no provisions for relocation. 2 Festival Bonuses after completion of one year of uninterrupted continuous service.
