Requirements
Education
- Graduation and Post-graduation in any discipline preferably in Islamic Studies/Arabic/Economics and Business Studies from reputed university with no third division/class in any academic result.
- Must have sound knowledge in the Quran, Hadith, Fiqh and Islamic Economics/Finance.
- Related Professional Certification (CSAA) will be added as an advantage.

Responsibilities & Context
Job Context:
The position is responsible for Shari’ah Auditing, Reporting & Advising, working with Shari’ah Supervisory Committee & Reporting to respective bodies, complying with Shari’ah issues in operation of Islamic business, assisting Islamic Financing Division, arranging & managing Trainings and Internal Office Management regarding Islamic Shari’ah.
Employment Status: Permanent in the rank of SO/PO/SPO
Job Responsibilities:
- Responsible to prepare yearly Audit plan and perform Shari’ah Audit of the branches and required departments, if applicable, following audit requirement by the Shari’ah Supervisory Committee (SSC), as usual norms and regulatory body.
- Responsible to prepare Shari’ah Report including necessary memos and notes for presenting the same to SSC and Board Audit Committee accompanying with ICC, if required.
- Ensure the Islamic Finance Wing reports like portfolio report, monthly branch & total company performance & target report and periodic performance report are well prepared. Preparation and submission of all kinds of audit reports and timely face and reply of all audit/ inspection both internal and external audit related with Islamic Wing portfolio.
- Assisting in day-to-day operations of Asset and Liability for Shari’ah compliance at the inception of business induction and solving problems at its root thus the Shari’ah objection may be reduced at early stage.
- Responsible for leading and developing team and succession pipeline and engage high performers.
- Responsible for managing affiliations with external organization and institutions and developing communication content for letters, applications, promotions, brochure, presentations, concept papers, public relationship management, agreements etc. for all the departments.
- Responsible to ensure implementations of guidelines/recommendations given by the Shariah Supervisory Committee of the Bank.
- To conduct research on Shariah issues/new product and provide necessary assistance to management on compliances on Shariah principals, etc.
- Any other work assigned by the authority.
