Responsibilities & Context

Job Summary

The Shipment Processing Associate is responsible for the secure handling, processing, packaging, sorting, documentation, and preparation of confidential documents and consignments for dispatch. The role requires a high level of accuracy, attention to detail, and adherence to security and confidentiality procedures to ensure timely and error-free processing.

Reports To: Operations Supervisor / Manager

Key Responsibilities

  • Receive and verify confidential documents and shipment materials as per operational requirements.
  • Prepare, assemble, package, and organize documents and related materials for distribution and delivery.
  • Sort and arrange consignments according to distribution lists, routes, serial numbers, or other designated criteria.
  • Ensure all documents and shipment materials are accurately matched and prepared prior to dispatch.
  • Generate, print, and attach shipment labels, consignment notes, and other required documentation.
  • Maintain accurate records of processed consignments and operational activities.
  • Perform quality checks to ensure accuracy and completeness of shipments.
  • Coordinate with relevant departments to ensure smooth processing and dispatch operations.
  • Handle confidential information with the highest level of integrity and discretion.
  • Report discrepancies, shortages, damages, or operational issues to the supervisor immediately.
  • Comply with all company policies, security procedures, and client-specific requirements.
  • Assist with inventory management, reconciliation, and operational audits when required.
  • Perform other duties assigned by management to support operational objectives.
