Responsibilities & Context

• Strategic Planning:
• Be a part of the strategic planning process by providing technical inputs to derive operational strategies in line with the annual business plan.
• Customer/Supplier Focus:
• Manage client and supplier contracts effectively to build long-lasting win-win strategic partnerships.
• Establish customer service standards by effectively communicating the client contract to all required personnel and ensure delivery.
• Handle exceptions of contracts (clients & suppliers) to demonstrate required agility without compromising compliance & avoiding ambiguity among the operations team to meet dynamic supply chain requirement.
• Ensure to include these exceptions to the contract if permanent in nature.
• Build relationships with all levels within customer organization and encouraging other functions to integrate with their counterparts to position K & A as a long-term partner.
• Contribute towards new customer acquisition by providing technical inputs during proposal and contract stage and be responsible for setting up new client operations in line with terms agreed with client.
• Identify emerging supply chain needs of the assigned customer base and timely communicating these business leads to the MBD team to convert opportunities into new business.
• Process management:
• Direct the team and provide administrative support to meet prescribed productivity and service levels as per client and company standards.
• Initiate and guide the team in continual service level improvements and managing operational contingencies to ensure business continuity.
• Provide leadership for optimum deployment of systems and procedures for the  management of physical facilities, human resources, equipment and other resources in accordance with company standards such as ISO & OHSAS by guiding & facilitating the team.
• Implement operational strategies and operate within the cluster budget to achieve the business plan.
• Implement required measures to safeguard the people, infrastructure and cargo at all sites with the facilitation of the centralized safety and security function.
• Financials:
• Achieve cluster financial performance while ensuring effective working capital management & utilization of resources (including assets) in order to achieve cluster synergies.
• Leadership:
• Lead the cluster as a change agent by setting up directions to ensure continuous & sustainable business growth while unleashing the full potential of the team.
• Living the ADV Spirit and setting up an example to the team in order to sustain business ethics.
