Responsibilities & Context
Job Description:
We seek a skilled and creative individual to join our team as a Content Creator & Video Editor. Our website, Facebook page, and YouTube channel focus on Canadian immigration topics, providing informative videos and articles in Bengali. We need someone passionate about content creation, research, and multimedia editing to help us deliver high-quality information to our audience.
Education
- Bachelor’s/Honors (Current university students can apply with flexible working hours).
Responsibilities:
Content Research & Writing:
- Research immigration news and updates from English articles.
- Create well-researched and accurate Bengali articles on related topics.
- Write video scripts based on research and notes provided.
Video Editing
- Edit videos for YouTube and social media using professional editing tools.
- Ensure videos are engaging, visually appealing, and on-brand.
Photo Editing
- Design and edit images for website articles, social media, and thumbnails.
WordPress Management
- Regularly publish posts on the WordPress website.
- Optimize articles for SEO to increase traffic.
Collaboration
- Work closely with the founder to understand content goals and vision.
- Suggest creative ideas for improving content and reach.
Requirements:
- Good research and analytical skills in English, with the ability to read and accurately interpret English articles into Bengali.
- Proficiency in video editing software (e.g., Filmora, or similar).
- Basic photo editing skills using Photoshop, Canva, or similar tools.
- Experience managing WordPress websites, including SEO optimization.
- Knowledge of Canadian immigration topics is a plus.
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
Preferred Skills:
- Creative mindset with attention to detail.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Familiarity with social media platforms and their content requirements.
- Good English reading skills are a plus.
Salary will be discussed and potentially increased after 4 months, based on job satisfaction and performance.
