Responsibilities & Context

Job Context:

Gana Unnayan Kendra (GUK) is looking for a suitable candidate for the position of ‘Social Mobilizer’ for ‘Bangladesh-America Maitree Project’ which is finance by USAID and supported by BRAC. The project duration is November 12, 2024 to November 11, 2027. The theme of the project is to prevention of child marriage and gender based violence.

Job Responsibilities:

• Mobilize community members, local leaders, parents, and other stakeholders to engage in project activities;
• Formation and Organize targeted stakeholders’ group at community and school level;
• Plan and execute community-based awareness campaigns;
• Organize and facilitate community discussions and dialogues;
• Conduct training sessions for community members, including teachers, parents, students and local leaders;
• Assist in the identification and referral of children/women in need of protection services, such as shelter, legal aid, psychosocial support, or education;
• Build relationships and strengthen networks with local authorities, local govt. Institution, NGOs, community-based organizations, service providers and relevant stakeholder;
• Reporting and Documentation.
