Responsibilities & Context

Job Context: As a Software Developer / Software Engineer, you will be an integral part of a dynamic organization involved in high-technology maritime solutions and integrated marine services. Based in Chattogram, your core responsibility will be to ensure the smooth operation, support and evolution of the organization’s proprietary ERP-based Office Management System. In addition to software development, your role will involve hands-on IT support and coordination across all departments to enhance operational efficiency. This position offers a blend of programming, problem-solving and system support responsibilities, making it ideal for tech-savvy professionals eager to contribute to a mission-driven, tech-oriented business environment.

Job Responsibilities:

• ERP System Maintenance & Development: Maintain, debug, and upgrade the organization’s in-house ERP-based Office Management System to improve performance and functionality.
• Feature Enhancement: Design and develop new modules, features, or tools in response to internal departmental requirements and evolving organizational needs.
• IT Helpdesk Support: Provide first-level support for software, hardware, and network-related issues faced by employees across departments.
• System Monitoring: Monitor software performance and security; ensure system uptime and availability for daily operations.
• Collaboration with Vendors: Coordinate with external vendors and service providers for system upgrades, software integration, or hardware procurement.
• Data & Security Management: Implement and maintain data security measures, backups, and disaster recovery procedures.
• Documentation: Create and maintain user manuals, technical documentation, and troubleshooting guides to support internal processes.
• User Training: Offer basic training and guidance to non-technical staff on system usage and best practices.
• Infrastructure Oversight: Support routine IT infrastructure tasks such as network configuration, computer maintenance, and peripheral device troubleshooting.
