Responsibilities & Context
-
Conduct mapping and feasibility assessment to identify potential government and non-government institutes/organizations and integrate the service related to mental health & gender-based violence (GBV).
-
Regular coordination and communication within the project team, partners, CBOs, Self-help groups, networks, platform and relevant government and non-government institutes/organizations·
-
Actively participate and represent the organization in different meeting, seminar, workshop organize by Govt. and other likeminded national and international organizations working on GBV and mental health issues
-
Assist in designing, planning and implementing project activities and campaigns aiming to achieve organizational goals.
-
Ensure support for capacity building initiatives of the project with providing technical assistance to the CBOs, Self-help Groups, networks, platforms thus the quality services on GBV and mental health are ensured for the Hijra & marginalized people.

Assist Senior Project Manager and Team Leader to accomplish particular project activities in accordance with project plan and also assist to quality assurance and reporting.

Ensure effective liaison and network within inter and intra organizations working on Gender based violence (GBV), Mental Health, Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights (SRHR) and human rights issues and update the progress as instructed from line management.

Enhance networking with Govt. including Law Enforcement Agencies, Human Rights Organizations, Civil Society Organizations to create access of the targeted community·

Organize meeting, seminar, workshop, rallies or any other relevant events in partnership or collaboration with other projects.

Contribute to develop education and awareness materials (i.e. Booklet, leaflet, poster, sticker etc.) focusing the GBV, Mental Health, human rights of Hijra & marginalized people·

Ability to campaign on GBV and mental health issues to protect the rights of Hijra & marginalized people·

Assist in developing Annual Gender Based and Human Rights Violation Report of the organization in collaboration with legal unit of Bandhu called AIN ALAP and ensure all kind of guidelines.

Pro-active role to support to line management through reviewing the activities plan, working procedures, strategies revision as and when required.

Develop annual action plan for GBV and Mental Health related activities through assessing the needs of Hijra & marginalized people.
-
Provide technical support and capacity building to the Mental health counselor of service center for performing his/her assigned job appropriately.

Maintain regular communication and coordination with Bandhu’s Central Legal Unit (AIN ALAP), Mental Health Wing (Porichoy), and GBV Wing to ensure the collection of monthly and quarterly data enabling project to track progress in reducing GBV among the Hijra & marginalized people.

Maintain close coordination, monitoring, and support for Mental Health Corners and Centers located in various divisional cities, as well as the Emergency Response Program in Cox’s Bazar.

Regular coordination with National Human Rights Commission (NHRC), National Legal Aid Services organization, District Legal aid committee etc. and hosting lobby meeting with respective organizations as and when required.

Ensure legal support and counselling among the Hijra & marginalized people through Bandhu’s legal unit as and when required.

Solidarity visits to the victim’s community if any incidence happens and produce fact finding reports with proper record and evidences.

Regular record keeping of rights of violation and produce monthly/quarterly report with case study and case investigation with proper documentations·

Any other assignment as and when required by the management/ concerned authority.
