  • The job involves significant travel out of the city and involves meeting with customers and fulfill daily sales target. It is not a desk job.

Responsibilities & Context

Sr. Executive/ Asst. Manager – Sales & Marketing of Agro Commodities

Job Responsibilities:

  • Proper experience on direct sales of multiple agro-commodities on targeted amount on daily basis for both inside and outside of Dhaka city.
  • Effective communication and highly negotiation for marketing with existing and new buyers to finalize deals & transactions to meet effective operations of order fulfillment – i.e. from order placement to delivery of goods and collection of payments from buyer both from inside and outside Dhaka.
  • Obtain confirmation of order on targeted basis, especially procurement of goods and agro-inputs across different regions in Bangladesh.
  • Develop and maintain sales marketing strategies and current product knowledge like agro commodities specifications, costing and pricing of agro-commodities in national and international market index.
  • Find, generate and maintain new buyers network across Bangladesh through multi-mode strategy for agro related commodities.
  • Lead a meeting with Direct contact via phone communication and direct visit on daily basis to potential customers for new business – forward & backward market linkage.
  • Clear analyses of market trends, pricing, competitor’s strategies and development of effective sales promotional strategies for different types agro commodities within Bangladesh.
  • Be able to demonstrate a full knowledge of all commodity for domestic and international market, rationalize product portfolio to build competencies, relevant or unique selling points and benefits in person, and via telephone calls, videoconferencing and emails.
  • Prepare action plans and schedules to identify specific targets and to project the number of contacts to be made & present sales achievement – Target vs Actual in revenue generation.
  • Provide a weekly schedule of planned activities and prepare daily reports as per management directives.
  • Prepare presentations, proposals, marketing materials, sales contracts and accumulate market knowledge from different sources.
  • Establish and maintain current client and potential client relationships as per the decision of management.
  • Build long-term partnership with customers and manage buyer inquiries.
  • Job requires extensive traveling and any other duties assigned during course of time
