Responsibilities & Context
Shams Engineering is a rapidly growing multidisciplinary engineering service provider in Bangladesh. Shams Engineering Focus on Water Management System such as (Sanitary, Plumbing, WTP, STP and ETP), Fire Detection & Protection Systems, and Basement Ventilation, Design & Implementation.
- Develop and implement the overall supply chain strategy aligned with the company’s goals and objectives.
- Lead the development of supply chain planning processes, including demand forecasting, inventory management, and procurement strategies.
- Lead all activities of Local and Foreign procurement and prepare report for management.
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with local and foreign suppliers, negotiating contracts and managing performance.
- Identify strategic sourcing opportunities to optimize supplier selection, pricing and quality.
- Develop and implement supplier evaluation process, including supplier performance metrics and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Collaborate with suppliers to improve lead times, quality standards and cost efficiencies.
- Develop and implement inventory management strategies to optimize inventory levels while minimizing carrying cost.·
- Coordinate with production teams to plan and schedule.·
- Identify potential risks in the supply chain and develop strategies to mitigate them.
- Guide team for transportation and logistics processes to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of goods and drive continuous improvement.
- Conduct regular assessments of market trends, industry best practices and emerging technologies to identify opportunities for improvement and innovation.
