Requirements

Education

• Master of Business Administration (MBA), Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA)

• BBA/MBA in Supply Chain Management/International Procurement or any relevant background.
• PGD in SCM or related certification (CSCM/CPIM) will be considered an added advantage.

Experience

• 2 to 4 years
• The applicants should have experience in the following business area(s):
  Manufacturing (FMCG), Group of Companies, Bicycle

• Strong negotiation and communication skills in English (spoken & written).
• Proficiency in ERP systems (SAP/Oracle) and Microsoft Office applications.

Responsibilities & Context

We are looking for a dynamic and detail oriented professional to join our Supply Chain Management team as Sr. Executive/Executive – Foreign Procurement at Akij Bicycle & Engineering Ltd. The ideal candidate will be responsible for handling all aspects of international sourcing and procurement to support our growing manufacturing operations.

Job Responsibilities:

• Manage the end-to-end foreign procurement process, including sourcing, negotiation, purchase order management, and vendor communication.
• Communicate and negotiate with international suppliers to ensure timely delivery, cost efficiency, and compliance with quality standards.
• Process LC (Letter of Credit), TT, and other international payment terms in collaboration with Finance and Commercial teams.
• Prepare and maintain purchase orders, import documentation, and shipping schedules.
• Coordinate with internal departments (Production, Planning, Inventory, QA) for effective materials planning and procurement.
• Monitor international market trends and suggest alternate suppliers for cost savings and risk mitigation.
• Ensure adherence to company policies, customs regulations, and international trade compliance.
• Stay updated on international market trends, prices, and alternative sourcing opportunities.
• Ensure compliance with all import regulations, customs procedures, and internal procurement policies.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Production, Planning, QA, and Inventory for smooth operations.
