Additional Requirements

- HSE&S-related certifications from reputed institutions (e.g., NEBOSH / IOSH and BFSCD) will be an added advantage.
- Candidates with experience working with IFC’s Performance Standards on Environmental & Social Sustainability and E&S/Labor audits from international lenders (e.g., IFC, World Bank, DEG, etc.) will be given preference.
Responsibilities & Context
Job Responsibility
- Work as a representative of the assigned work location for managing and implementing the project and operational HSE&S requirements following the MGI and the lender’s (IFC) performance standard.
- Assist in developing a plant level Health, Safety, Environmental, & Social (HSE&S) manual, related procedures, guidelines, forms and checklists following the MGI EHS policy / guidelines and then assist plant management in its implementation.
- Work closely with the site management team and provide guidance for accomplishments based on the lender’s HSE&S requirements and adherence to compliance.
- Assist in managing the site’s HSE&S programs and initiatives to prevent HSE&S incidents.
- Regular site visits, toolbox meetings, HSE&S inspections and audits and any other HSE&S good practices as per country local legislation and the lender’s performance standard.
- Prepare reports and documentation to meet the lender’s (IFC) requirements related to any HSE&S aspects and implement those at site in coordination with the site management team.
