Responsibilities & Context

Minimum 7 -8 of experience in product design and development along with, merchandising preferably within a buying house or retail environment, with a strong focus on merchandising.

Portfolio: A compelling portfolio showcasing your design skills, creativity, and successful product launches.

Technical Skills: Proficiency in design software (Adobe Creative Suite, CAD, etc.) and a solid understanding of materials, manufacturing processes, and production techniques.

Analytical Mindset: Strong analytical skills to interpret market data and translate insights into effective design and merchandising strategies.

Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to collaborate effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders.

Passion for Design: A genuine enthusiasm for fashion and product innovation, with a keen awareness of current and emerging trends.

Cross-Functional Collaboration: Strong interpersonal skills to work effectively with merchandising, marketing, and production teams, ensuring cohesive product development.

Visual Merchandising Expertise: Proficiency in creating visually appealing displays and presentations that effectively showcase products and enhance brand image.

Fabric and Material Knowledge: Understanding of various textiles, their properties, and how they impact design and merchandising strategies.

Attention to Detail: Meticulous focus on product quality, design specifications, and consistency with brand standards throughout the development process. Work with management to analyze the yearly business plans and strategic framework. Work closely with the teams to involve in bring innovations and sustainable Products to table. Provide ongoing trainings, development and constructive feedback to teams to ensure employee development and succession planning for driving high performance. Design packs / development sample process for relevant season / phases. Feedback follow up on each season customer signoffs with narrow-down styles. Sourcing fabrics / trims and innovation developments follow ups.
