  • Land Acquisition and Disposal: Oversee the acquisition of land for development or conservation purposes Manage the sale or lease of land or property that is no longer required by the organization.
  • Estate Planning and Development: Plan and manage the development and use of estates, including infrastructure and facilities. Develop strategies for optimizing the value and utilization of the organization’s land and property portfolio.
  • Lease and Tenancy Management: Manage leasing agreements, renewals, and termination processes. Handle tenant relations, ensuring compliance with lease terms and addressing any disputes.
  • Legal and Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and zoning ordinances regarding land use, property development, and environmental standards. Liaise with legal teams for the preparation of contracts and handling any legal issues related to property and land management.
  • Property Maintenance and Management: Oversee the maintenance and improvement of buildings, grounds, and infrastructure on the estate. Ensure that the properties and land are kept in good condition and meet safety and environmental standards .
  • Financial Management: Prepare and manage budgets for estate and land management operations. Monitor and report on financial performance, including revenue from leasing, rent collection, and land sales.
  • Stakeholder and Community Engagement: Engage with local communities, governmental agencies, and stakeholders to address concerns and align on development plans. Represent the organization in negotiations with external parties, including government bodies, contractors, and consultants.
  • Strategic Land Use Planning: Collaborate with urban planners, architects, and environmental experts to develop long-term land use plans. Assess the potential for land development and future projects.
  • Risk Management: Identify and mitigate risks related to property ownership, development, and environmental factors. Develop contingency plans to manage risks associated with land disputes, natural disasters, and legal challenges.
  • Documentation and Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of land titles, deeds, leases, and other property-related documents. Ensure the proper documentation of all transactions and decisions.
  • Land Valuation and Appraisal Conduct or oversee the valuation of land to determine its market value for purchase, lease, or compensation. Collaborate with appraisers, surveyors, and consultants to assess land suitability for different projects
  • Environmental and Social Considerations Ensure land acquisitions consider environmental sustainability and social impacts, particularly when dealing with sensitive areas or indigenous lands. Implement corporate social responsibility (CSR) initiatives as part of the land acquisition process. 
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the management, from time-to- time.
