Responsibilities & Context
- Oversee the dining area, supervises food and beverage service staff in accordance with operating policies that he or she may help establish.
- Create a positive team atmosphere among the team members.
- Maintain records of staff and operating costs periodically.
- Provide feedback and coaching to the team regularly.·
- Understand building capability through Cross Training·
- Treat all team members fairly and with respect.·
- Set high standards for appropriate team behavior during the shifts.·
- Work with food and beverage staff to ensure proper food presentation and proper food-handling procedures.·
- Handle guest complaints in the restaurants.·
- Schedule periodic Food and Beverage (F&B) Service staff meetings to ensure correct interpretation of policies and obtain feedback from staff members.
- Maintain budget and employee records, prepare payroll attendance of the F&B Service staff.
- Check the quality of deliveries of fresh food and baked goods.
- Meet sales representatives to order supplies such as tableware, cooking utensils, and cleaning items.
- Arrange for maintenance and repair of equipment.
- check total receipts and balance against sales, deposit receipts, and lock facility at the end of the day.
- Ensure new products are executed properly following roll-out.
- Ensure product quality and great service.
- Delegate and follow-up effectively.
- Take ownership of issues or tasks and also give detail update to the F&B manager and the General Manager.
- Seek, listen and respond to Guests’ feedback.
- Coach team on how to satisfy and exceed Guests’ expectations.
- Take accountability of problems and do not blame others.
- Effectively identify restaurant problems through reports and can ideate & execute to resolve the same.
- Have proficiency in using computer software to monitor inventory, track staff schedules and pay, and perform other record keeping tasks.
- Have proficiency in Point of Sale ( POS ) software, inventory software, IDS, Restaurant guest satisfactory tracking software etc.
- Assist in planning regular and special event Menu.
