Experience and Skills:
- 2-3 Years of NGO project implementation experience in Women’s Leadership, Human Rights, and Gender Based Violence (GBV)
Experience:
- Minimum 2-3 years of experience in NGO project implementation focused on women’s leadership, human rights, and GBV.
- Proven experience in legal practice, particularly in human rights and GBV cases
Skills:
- Strong knowledge of national laws and legal processes related to GBV.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and project management tools.
- Excellent communication skills in Bangla and English.
- Strong reporting and documentation skills.
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
- Familiarity with NGO and government procedures.

- Manabadhikar Shongskriti Foundation (msf) is a leading human rights NGO dedicated to promoting and defending human rights in Bangladesh. The organization implements the EmpowerHer-Nagorikata-CEF project to enhance women’s leadership, combat gender-based violence (GBV), and empower marginalized communities. The Staff Lawyer will play a crucial role in achieving these objectives by providing legal aid and support to survivors of GBV.
Job Responsibilities:
Legal Aid and Assistance:
- Provide direct legal support to survivors of GBV, ensuring their rights and access to justice.
Case Management:
- Maintain an organized system for managing and documenting GBV-related legal cases.
Stakeholder Coordination:
- Liaise with Officers-in-Charge (OC) and Police Super (SP) to offer legal support and follow up on cases.
- Build and maintain relationships with relevant governmental and non-governmental stakeholders.
Advocacy and Representation:
- Engage in legal advocacy for survivors of violence and represent them in legal proceedings as required with the District Legal Aid Officers and District Judges
Legal Awareness:
- Conduct awareness sessions and training for project beneficiaries and stakeholders on GBV laws and women’s rights.
Reporting:
- Prepare and submit detailed reports on legal cases, including progress and outcomes, ensuring compliance with project requirements.
