Responsibilities & Context
- Provide high-quality nursing care to patients across various departments.
- Monitor vital signs, assess patient conditions, and report significant changes to physicians.
- Maintain records of medications and ensure proper dosage and patient safety.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, including assessments, treatments, and progress notes.
- Support doctors during medical examinations, diagnostic tests, and minor surgical procedures.
- Prepare and manage medical equipment and ensure a sterile environment.
- Educate patients and their families about treatment plans, post-discharge care, and preventive health measures.
- Provide emotional support and ensure patient dignity and comfort.
- Follow hospital infection control protocols strictly to prevent cross-contamination.
- Work closely with physicians, other nurses, and healthcare staff to ensure coordinated care.
- Participate in staff meetings, training sessions, and continuous improvement activities.
- Monitor and manage the availability of medical supplies and equipment in the unit.
- Comply with hospital policies, procedures, ethical standards, and nursing protocols.
- If In-Charge: Leading the nursing team, managing shift schedules, and overseeing overall nursing care delivery in the section.
