- Prior experience in the hospital sector or related fields, with proficiency in managing medical equipment, is highly preferred.
- Prior experience in hospital or healthcare inventory management is preferred.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Proficiency in inventory management software and MS Office.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks efficiently.
Responsibilities & Context
Key Responsibilities:
Inventory Management:
- Receive, inspect, and verify incoming stock and supplies.
- Maintain accurate records of stock levels, transfers, and distributions.
- Conduct regular stock checks and audits to prevent discrepancies.
- Ensure proper storage conditions for different types of materials.
Stock Control:
- Maintain an organized storage system for easy retrieval.
- Monitor stock levels and initiate purchase requisitions when required.
- Implement FIFO (First In, First Out) and FEFO (First Expiry, First Out) methods.
- Minimize wastage and ensure expiration tracking of medical supplies.
Documentation and Reporting:
- Maintain stock registers and digital inventory systems.
- Prepare and submit regular reports on stock movement, shortages, and surplus.
- Coordinate with the procurement team for timely replenishment of items.
General Duties:
- Keep the storage area clean, organized, and secure.
- Supervise and guide junior store staff if applicable.
- Participate in hospital meetings and training programs as required.
