Requirements

Education

• Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Environmental Science, Masters in Engineering (MEngg) in Environmental Science

• Applicants having related professional training/certificates will be an added advantage.

Responsibilities & Context

This position will manage the overall Environment, ETP, Compliance, Inspection & Audit issues.

Environment issues:

• Including chemical testing from external laboratories for ECP compliance.
• Implement and enforce the provisions of the program Environment.
• Ensure compliance of the Environmental Clearance Certificate.

ETP issues:

• Complete the process of the ETP samples for testing from external laboratories according to the internal schedules.
• Internal control of the Effluent Treatment Plant. Also, testing and monitoring of the ETP and preparing the reports of measurements of the internal monitoring.
• Control and distribution of the chemicals related to the ETP.

Inspection & Audit:

• Ensure the inspection and testing of monitoring work (illumination, noise, air quality, and housekeeping) according to the schedule.

Compliance issues:

• Ensure the compliance of the sludge waste management according to local regulations and Gildan Corporate policies.
• Compliance of internal activities according to the Chemical Code of Practice.
• Coordinate with chemical suppliers through the supply chain for collecting MSDS & TDS Ensure the implementation of Spill Procedures and guide the Brigade Spill Team.
• Supervision and control of the forms related to the disposal of solid, special, 4R-D, biomedical, and hazardous waste following the Gildan Corporate Waste Management System and local regulations.

Training & events:

• Support training activities for the personnel related to Environmental, Health, and Safety.
