Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and technically skilled Coating Technology Expert to manage and optimize all surface finishing processes including powder coating, liquid painting, vacuum metallization and other advanced color coating techniques. The candidate will be responsible for developing high-quality, durable and visually appealing finishes on a variety of materials, primarily used in furniture or industrial applications.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and execute various coating processes including powder coating, liquid painting and vacuum metallization.
- Ensure consistency in coating quality, color accuracy, thickness and adhesion.
- Work closely with R&D and design teams to develop new coating solutions and color finishes.
- Optimize application techniques and parameters to improve efficiency and reduce waste.
- Select appropriate raw materials, paints, resins and chemicals for various coating processes.
- Maintain and troubleshoot coating equipment and machinery.
- Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and quality control standards.
- Train and guide the coating team on best practices and updated technologies.
- Evaluate coated products for durability, corrosion resistance and aesthetic appeal.
Required Skills & Competencies:
- In-depth knowledge of surface coating technologies, especially: Powder Coating, Liquid Paint Application, Vacuum Metallization, Electrostatic and Spray Coating Techniques.
- Strong understanding of coating materials, curing processes and color-matching systems.
- Familiarity with coating equipment, ovens, spray booths and vacuum chambers.
- Problem-solving ability in handling coating defects, surface preparation, and application flaws.
- Knowledge of industry standards (ISO, ASTM, etc.) related to coatings and finishes.
- Attention to detail, quality-conscious, and safety-minded.
- Minimum 7-10 years’ relevant experience in Industrial or Furniture coating process.
Educational Qualifications:
Bachelor’s or Diploma in one of the following:
- Chemical Engineering
- Materials Science
- Surface coating Technology
- Industrial Chemistry
- Mechanical Engineering or any others relevant subject.
