Requirements

Education

  • Graduate degree in Food Security/Nutrition/Epidemiology with strong survey/surveillance background
  • Masters in relevant field will be preferred

Experience

  • At least 5 years
  • The applicants should have experience in the following business area(s):
    NGO, Development Agency

Additional Requirements

  • Age at least 18 years
  • 5 – 7 years of professional experience in program planning and implementation in surveillance projects
  • At least 3 (three) year in emergency nutritional and food security programs
  • Experienced in conducting surveys (SMART, SQUEAC, KAP, needs assessments)
  • Strong knowledge in the use of statistical software (Epi Info 7, ENA for SMART, SPSS and Excel application software) for data analysis

Responsibilities & Context

Objective 1: Survey planning, development and implementation

  • Collection of demographic data for the surveys and surveillance plan
  • Development of retro planning in coordination with ACF programme team
  • Development of assessment questionnaires in Epi-Info 7 (or other designated software) and/or other mobile data collection tools in collaboration with the MEAL coordinator and Data information manager/officer
  • Ensure data quality through plausibility checks, supervision and monitoring of the assessment teams
  • Data collection of all surveillance data, data entry, analysis and reporting.
  • Ensure adherence between field activities and Government of Bangladesh procedures / protocols / guidelines designed for assessments: respect of methodology, reporting process, etc

Objective 2: Human Resource Management and administration

  • Recruitment of survey teams in collaboration with PM and support team
  • Management of survey teams
  • Facilitate training for all surveys in collaboration with PM
  • Carry out supportive supervision and monitoring of survey teams
  • Manage Survey budgets, control expenditures and report on the same
  • Develop survey budgets and prepare monthly financial projections

Objective 3: Ensure collaboration with other ACF departments and partners

  • Implementation of the surveys in collaboration with the local government authorities and international /national partners
  • Collaboration and collection of information from other potential partners in the field (NGOs, Health structures, community)
  • Collaboration with ACF nutrition, Food Security, MHCP and WASH programme managers & Head of Departments, and logistics and finance department.
  • Collaboration with technical Head of Departments and the HQ for validation of methodology, training material, and reporting
  • Collaboration with logistic and finance department for supplying different materials for the survey and field movement
  • Represent ACF in meetings and thematic forums related to surveys and assessments

Objective 4: Reporting and Dissemination

  • Drafting and final writing of the Executive Summary reports and Final reports for each round of surveillance and for each survey completed. These documents will be validated by the respective HoD, and finalized with the feedback of the PM
  • Presentation and dissemination, including action planning of the final approved report to all partners and relevant stakeholders.
  • Contribute to writing of donor proposals and reporting.

Objective 5: Proactively support ACFs commitments to gender equality, child protection and disability sensitivity.

  • Read and ensure a full understanding of ACFs Gender Minimum Standards & Child Protection Policies, asking questions and/or for support when necessary
  • Implement all work related activities with a gender, disability and child protection lens, taking into account the different needs, concerns and ideas of our staff and beneficiaries
  • Ensure the incorporation of gender equity principles in all policies and activities
  • Encourage the participation of all genders in meeting and on committee;
  • Help build an inclusive office environment where people do not feel disadvantaged or judged according to their gender or limited due to manageable disability.

Compensation & Other Benefits

  • Your monthly Salary will be BDT 107,500.
  • You will not be eligible for any other benefits except food allowance BDT 1100/- monthly and life insurance coverage.
  • Tax will be deducted as per govt policy
