Responsibilities & Context
Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and proactive Network/System Engineer to join our IT team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining and optimizing our office networks, troubleshooting network and hardware/software issues, configuring routers, and ensuring seamless operation of desktops, and laptops (Windows, Linux, Mac).
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain and manage office networks, network devices, routers, and related infrastructure.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot network issues quickly and effectively.
- Resolve hardware and software problems on PCs and laptops.
- Configure and manage routers and network connections.
- Install and set up desktops and laptops (Windows, Linux, Mac).
- Document network configurations and troubleshooting steps.
- Provide IT support and technical training to staff as required.
Qualifications:
Education:
- Diploma or higher in Computer Science, IT, or a related field.
- Certifications (Preferred): CCNA, CompTIA Network+, or equivalent networking credentials are a plus.
- Experience: Minimum 1 year of hands-on experience in network/system engineering.
Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in configuring and troubleshooting networks.
- Experience with Windows, Linux, and Mac environments.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Soft Skills: Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
