Responsibilities & Context

Your Role and Responsibilities

We are seeking an experienced Tech Lead in PHP, WordPress, Shopify and WooCommerce to join our dynamic team who will play a critical role in overseeing and managing our e-commerce platforms with WooCommerce portals. You will also be responsible for maintaining high availability (HA) of our WordPress deployments in AWS and ensuring automated disaster recovery (DR) processes are in place.

The following list of typical responsibilities you will take on is indicative, not exhaustive. You’ll have a reasonable workload that can assure high-quality results.

• Provide in-depth technical leadership and support for WooCommerce and shopify-based e-commerce platforms, ensuring their optimal performance, security, and scalability
• Lead the deployment of High-Availability WordPress solutions in AWS, guaranteeing 24/7 availability and seamless user experiences
• Develop and maintain automated disaster recovery plans to minimize downtime and data loss in case of system failures
• Contribute to the architecture design and development of E Commerce portals, with raw PHP (optionally Laravel)
• Define and execute the technical strategy for Shopify and WooCommerce platforms, ensuring they align with business objectives and industry best practices
• Ensure the highest levels of security and compliance on all e-commerce platforms, staying current with industry standards and trends
• Design and develop custom Shopify/WordPress themes and plugins to meet business requirements
• Integrate third-party services and APIs to enhance functionality and user experience
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to platforms and integrations

Qualifications and Skills

Mandatory

To qualify to enter the selection process for this job, you must meet the following minimum criteria. Please DO NOT apply if you do not meet these criteria:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
• 10+ years of relevant experience in Shopify, WooCommerce and WordPress advanced development, High-Availability WordPress deployment in AWS, and Disaster Recovery
• Proficient in written and verbal communication skills in both Bangla and English
• Expertise and in-depth understanding of Payment Gateway Integration
• Strong background in PHP, Laravel, JavaScript, CSS, HTML and related technologies
• Strong knowledge of AWS services and infrastructure
• Good experience in working with CodeIgniter

Preferred

If you have the following skills/competence, you’ll have a competitive advantage in our selection process compared to others:

• Experience of any WordPress-based LMS like Tutor LMS, LifterLMS, Sensei, etc
• Strong competence in Front-End Development with UI Frameworks/Libraries like React
• Good knowledge and experience in Python-Django
• Hostinger Cloud Hosting experience
