Additional Requirements

• Minimum of eight (8) years of experience in designing and implementing water resources management, WASH, and/or agriculture projects.
• Minimum of five (5) years of successful experience as the technical manager or equivalent position for donor-funded projects of similar magnitude and complexity.
• Demonstrated expertise in technical areas such as water resources management, climate-smart agriculture, market systems development, economic and environmental resilience, and gender equality and social inclusion.
• Master’s degree in Water Resources Management, Agricultural Development, Business, International Development, Public Policy, or another related field.
• Previous experience in Bangladesh required.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Fluency in English required.

Job Description

• DevWorks International (DevWorks) is recruiting for a Technical Director for the anticipated USAID/Bangladesh Feed the Future (FTF) Water Management Activity. The Activity will promote sustainable management and utilization of water resources to address diverse needs of communities, ecosystems, and economic activities in the Khulna, Barisal, and Sylhet Divisions. It will address the region’s vulnerability to climate change through an integrated approach to improving water governance involving efficient irrigation systems, water-saving agricultural practices, water conservation, and improved access to clean water.
• The Technical Director, will, in coordination with the Chief of Party, be responsible for managing the project’s technical intervention strategy, work planning, and activity design. S/he will have direct oversight and management of the technical advisory team. S/he will provide technical direction and support to interventions across all objectives.
