Responsibilities & Context

The Technical Manager (Sewing) will oversee and manage the sewing operations in the factory, ensuring that all production processes are executed efficiently, cost-effectively, and with the highest quality standards. This role is responsible for improving sewing operations, troubleshooting technical issues, and implementing best practices in the production of garments.

• Sewing Operations Management:
  • Oversee the entire sewing process, ensuring smooth and efficient production flow.
  • Monitor and optimize production capacity, machine efficiency, and operator performance.
  • Ensure that production targets are met while maintaining high-quality standards.
• Technical Support & Troubleshooting:
  • Provide technical support to the sewing team to resolve production issues and machine breakdowns.
  • Troubleshoot and address any technical issues that arise during the production process.
  • Ensure the proper maintenance of sewing machines and other related equipment to minimize downtime.
• Quality Control & Improvement:
  • Work closely with the quality control team to ensure that sewing standards are maintained.
  • Implement and monitor quality control measures for sewing processes.
  • Analyze quality reports, identify areas of improvement, and develop corrective actions.
• Team Leadership & Training:
  • Lead, train, and motivate sewing machine operators and technical staff.
  • Conduct regular training sessions to enhance the technical skills of the team.
  • Maintain a safe and conducive working environment for the sewing team.
• Production Planning:
  • Collaborate with the production planning team to develop and implement efficient sewing plans.
  • Coordinate with the cutting, finishing, and packing departments to ensure timely delivery.
  • Monitor and track production progress and take corrective actions when necessary.
• Machine & Equipment Management:
  • Ensure the proper calibration, maintenance, and servicing of sewing machines and related equipment.
  • Identify and recommend new sewing technologies and machinery to improve production efficiency.
• Cost Control:
  • Monitor the cost of production and work to reduce wastage in the sewing section.
  • Ensure optimal use of resources (labor, material, and machines) to minimize costs.
• Reporting & Documentation:
  • Maintain accurate records of sewing operations, including production data, downtime, and maintenance logs.
  • Prepare and present regular reports on sewing performance, machine efficiency, and quality standards.
