Educational Requirements
University degree in education, social work, psychology, social sciences or related field.
Experience Requirements
Minimum 3-year experience working in humanitarian context (especially in Education) with children, adolescents and/or young people; engagement with communities.
Knowledge
- Good knowledge and understanding of Do No Harm principles, INEE minimum standards and other humanitarian Standards.
- Comprehensive understanding of the Humanitarian architecture of the Rohingya Response its operating and regulatory environment.
- Good understanding on Gender, Gender Based Violence and prevention.
- Good understanding on child safeguarding and equality for girls.
- Knowledge and understanding of FIVDB’s vision, mission values.
Skills & Ability:
- Strong planning, budgeting, financial management, project implementation skills.
- Strong management, supervisory and coaching skills, and able to support and train staff to work with disaster affected communities in a sensitive and participatory manner.

Responsibilities & Context
Job Context :
Friends in Village Development Bangladesh (FIVDB) is implementing the AHP-lV Project with Rohingya and Host communities under its Humanitarian Preparedness and Response program, Cox’s Bazar with the support of Plan international Bangladesh and DFAT. Project duration- 30 November 2025 (to be extended subject to the provision of project extension afterward). The position will be recruited for implementing the project based at the Field office at Teknaf with substantial field activities at different camps and host communities at Teknaf. The job may be regularized after the completion of 3 months of services under FlVDB. The Technical Officer- Education will be responsible for supporting designing and following-up with the technical aspects of the project implementation, key role is to work day to day with the Education team (Facilitators, Field Organizers, and M&E Officer), building their capacity in program implementation. He/She will also support the education team to deliver quality projects. S/he will closely work as a part of the team with support from the Technical Coordinator-Education.
Job Responsibilities :
- Support and mange Education Program Mentor/volunteers in their day-to-day implementation of activities.
- Support in any logistics and preparations to ensure that project activities are carried out in a timely and orderly manner.
- Provide technical support to and regularly monitor project activities
- Contribute to the elaboration of the reporting (data collection, and narrative report) according to donor/projects requirements.
- Design and facilitate appraisal of Volunteers performance and provide feedback for improvement and to support increasingly productive help for the learner.
- Provide regular updates to Coordinator on the progress of the implementation, challenges faced, and additional support needed.
- Provide technical input to develop the teachers training short package/ curriculum; Deliver to the Training Curriculum implementation at field level.
- To organize and conduct to train facilitators on pedagogy, curriculum (literacy, numeracy, portable skills and life skills) and other relevant issues (including child safeguarding, CP and referral, DRR, PSS, gender and inclusion, adolescent retention techniques and opportunities
- Conduct community dialogue with local leaders, Imams, and parents on the benefits of non-formal education for adolescent girls/boys and young women/men – Rohingya and host communities
- Facilitate capacity building plan for camp and host community volunteers
- Contribute to recruitment of volunteers with support from supervisor
- Provide on-the-job coaching and support to the volunteers in technical aspects of the program.
- Ensure that the capacity building plan for community volunteers is executed properly and timely.
- External Representation: He/she represents FIVDB in the camp and upazila level coordination meetings and relevant groups as needed in Ukyia/Teknaf and camp level and sometimes in Cox’s Bazar.
