Responsibilities & Context

The key purpose of the Technical Planning Officer-Energy in the access to energy project is to oversee technical expertise, ensure timely and substantial contributions, and maintain adherence to project standards. The role entails overseeing construction operations, ensuring that all activities are in line with the overarching strategic vision, and ensuring that project deliverables are completed efficiently and cost-effectively. The officer is responsible for ensuring that monthly, annual work plans and project documents yield concrete results through the strategic formulation, implementation, and oversight of policies, reports, and knowledge services. This ultimately aids in the realization of the project’s goals through the enhancement of information and knowledge dissemination.

  • Support the development and implementation of initiatives that seek to advance the energy services for Rohingya refugees and the communities.
  • Offer specialized knowledge with a focus on sustainable practices and cutting-edge solutions for energy-related endeavors.
  • Oversee and administer the technical components of the undertaking, ensuring adherence to established criteria and punctual completion.
  • GIS tools for spatial analysis in order to facilitate informed decision-making pertaining to the energy project and its associated initiatives.
  • Produce and uphold geospatial data maps pertaining to solar infrastructure and environmental innovation.
  • Coordinate with technical teams to incorporate GIS data into the planning and execution of projects.
  • Implement and sustain information flow management systems to optimize efficiency within the energy project.
  • Develop policies for information and knowledge management in a strategic manner, ensuring that they are in line with the objectives of the project.
  • Produce exhaustive reports for stakeholders detailing project activities, knowledge services, and results.
  • Promote and facilitate collaboration among technical teams to ensure efficient coordination and information exchange.
  • Ensure that practices pertaining to information and knowledge management are in accordance with the project’s strategic vision.
  • Support the management of the project and produce progress and impact reports on initiatives.
  • Carry out additional pertinent responsibilities as mandated by the Project and the organization.
