- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., education, social work, business administration) preferred.
- At least 4 years’ experience in the development field, in delivering technical skills training, career counseling, or job placement services in humanitarian sector.
- Work experience in emergency response project/ Rohingya camps.
- Demonstrated ability to build and maintain effective relationships with stakeholders, including employers, community members, and partner organizations.
- Experience in Community mobilization, need assessment, beneficiary selection input distribution and training delivery.
- Strong understanding of local job markets and workforce development trends.
- Must be able to speak the local Chittagong language.
- Female candidates are strongly preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, good team player.
- Willing to work in any camps in Teknaf Upazila.
- Understanding of protection issues facing our beneficiaries.
- Good verbal and written communication skills in Bengali
Responsibilities & Context
Technical Skills Training:
- Develop and implement training programs focused on technical skills relevant to local job markets.
- Identify training needs through collaboration with community members, employers, and other stakeholders.
- Deliver training sessions effectively, ensuring comprehension and skill acquisition among participants.
- Continuously evaluate and improve training programs based on feedback and outcomes.
Job Placement Assistance:
- Work closely with local businesses, organizations, and employers to understand their staffing needs and requirements.
- Assist program participants in preparing resumes, cover letters, and job applications tailored to specific opportunities.
- Provide guidance and support during job interviews, including mock interviews and interview preparation workshops.
- Facilitate connections between program participants and potential employers, acting as a liaison to promote successful placements.
Career Counseling and Mentorship:
- Offer individualized career counseling sessions to help participants identify their strengths, interests, and career goals.
- Provide guidance on career pathways, further education opportunities, and professional development resources. Foster a supportive mentorship environment where participants can access ongoing guidance and encouragement.
Program Coordination and Administration:
- Maintain accurate records of program participants, training sessions, and job placement outcomes.
- Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to ensure seamless program delivery and coordination.
- Prepare reports and presentations to communicate program progress, impact, and outcomes to stakeholders.
Community Engagement and Outreach:
- Promote awareness of the program within the community through outreach activities, informational sessions, and networking events.
- Establish and nurture relationships with local community leaders, schools, and other relevant organizations. Act as an advocate for program participants, addressing their needs and concerns within the community.
Integrity:
- Showcases integrity standards as outlined in Cordaid’s integrity policies; Fulfills integrity responsibilities as outlined in Cordaid’s Integrity Framework and Standard Operating Procedures; Actively contributes to a safe environment within their scope of influence by encouraging dialogue, trust, as well as understanding and adherence to Cordaid’s integrity standards and procedures.
