  • Practical working experience in multi-sectoral program management such as in dry fish or any potential trade at camp setup for external market linkage
  • Hands on experience on project procurement planning
  • Technical assistance to the project staff for resource implementation
  • Experience in monitoring, targeting and selection of vulnerable population.
  • Reporting and accounting experience needed.
  • Experience in training monitoring, evaluation and report writing.
  • Profession communication skill intra WVB department, interpersonal skills and cross-cultural sensitivity.
  • Skill in project coordination, collaboration and networking in humanitarian context.
  • Able to speak and write with a high standard of both English, Bangla.
  • Experience working in diverse office environment.
  • Must be able to use computer (MS word, excel, software) and internet  Leadership, accountability,
  • Good analytical, Creativity and innovation skill.
  • 3-4 years of practical experience in Integrated Food Security, Livelihood, Entrepreneurship Development, Market Promotion and Business Development Project  Experience in INGO, NGO sector.

Responsibilities & Context

  • The Technical Specialist Market Promotion under the Learn to Live project will be based on field office assist to ensure the capacity building initiative, guideline/module preparation, planning, quality, efficient and effective delivery of project activities for market linkage, product promotion etc. The position will responsible for the direct field implementation of all kinds of integrated IGA, entrepreneurship development for training, gap analysis and product branding, market linkage of Project selected trade based non-farm intervention.
  •  Assist to project staff to do including the liaison with the Government Department, Market actors, related NGOs, counter parts liaison with other WVB projects to ensure the services are well integrated and well-coordinated. The Technical Specialist Market Promotion will work closely and assist the coordinator to establish humanitarian accountability feedback mechanisms in all activities. The Technical Specialist Market Promotion will assist the Coordinator to ensure that all monitoring systems are in place and are functional, and that the feedback from the monitoring system is being utilized to improve program implementation. The TS will assist Coordinator for documenting success stories from group/individual and works closely with the Communications and Advocacy to report on the success stories.

    Assist in the efficient and effective delivery of project’s services:

  • Assist the PC to develop plans and develop schedules. Assist to Identify and select training need for dry fish production, Business development, entrepreneurship development etc. Organize capacity building initiative of staff, volunteer and youth entrepreneurs. Capacity building of staffs with the assistance of LSDS, Marker actors. Take prime role on deliver on specialized training. Ensure training reporting. Assist to ensure inputs. Fully functional, well maintained, all the interventions. Well developed and planned utilization of services and activities Adequately equipped all the front line staffs and centers for training delivery. IGA-dry fish and market driven intervention Market linkage and value chain.

    Assist the PC in overseeing the implementation of MEAL structures and systems for the project :

  • Assist the PC in working with the MEAL team to develop the MEAL structures and system. Assist the PC to ensure that feedback from HA structures and system and feedback from Monitoring systems is used to improve the quality and implementation of the interventions. Assist the PC to update partners, and relevant stakeholders on required DME process, standard and systems. Well structured, coordinated, MEAL structures and systems that inform program quality and implementation.

    Assist in the Coordination and integration of other WV services:

  • Assist the PC in overall coordination and leading the discussion on integrating other WV services/activities. Assist the PC in developing the schedules for integrated services/activities to improve the impact of WVB programs. Well-integrated services for greater impact and output.

    Assist the PC in Reporting and Accounting:

  • Assist the PC in reporting and tracking all commodities, non-food items and inputs for the BnFs. Assist the PC for internal weekly, monthly and quarterly donor reporting. Assist the PC in working in collaboration with the Communications Unit to document success stories. Well-coordinated reporting structures and verified reports from the projects Well-tracked movement of the community assets.

    Assist the PC to ensure Sustainability and Exit Strategy:

  • Assist the PC to Lead the sustainability and exit strategy discussions with the Community / Government Leaders and World Vision Sectors. Well continuation of certain project interventions in the WVB.
