Technician

Job Context:

We are looking for a results-driven and detail-oriented construction-related Technical. The right candidate will have an instinctive ability to recognize, retain, and respect the talent within the organization, and help guide local employees to reach their full potential through support and mentorship. This dedicated leader will develop and maintain control of all technical operations of the construction project.

Job Responsibilities:

• Considerable skills in plumbing, electrical, HVAC and/or carpentry work in the construction, operating, maintenance, repair, remodeling, and alteration of building structures and facilities according to work orders or verbal instructions by using hand and power tools such as saws, hammers, chisels, levels, drills, presses, sanders, table saws, jointers, planers, wood lathes, and mortising machines to repair doors, windows, window frames, floors, walls, ceilings, partitions, and office furniture, installs, repairs, and finishes sheetrock/drywall, paints.
• Expertise in operating Excavator or heavy equipment operators.
• Responsible for the preparation of budgets for using the machine, and purchase of raw material.
• Maintains records of cost of repairs of existing facilities, repair of equipment, and purchase of new equipment.
• Coordinates and schedules work for various agencies through the Site/Admin Manager.
• Assists the department and the authority of the Board of County Commissioners and other constitutional officers.
• Prepares and submits requisitions for supplies and equipment.
• Develops comprehensive goals for performance and growth strategies.
• Effectively resolve issues – must be comfortable with conflict, addressing issues, and solving problems practically and healthily.
• Assists with identifying areas of opportunities for capital improvements across the organization, including opportunities to improve revenue, increase margin, reduce cost, and increase profitability throughout the organization all while improving efficiency.
• Attract, retain, and develop a high-performing team.
• Lead, manage, and hold direct reports accountable for achieving agreed-upon commitments.
• Experience in working with Korean Management is highly preferable.
