  • 4 to 5 years of experience in infection control, sterilization, or hospital hygiene management
  • Strong knowledge of hospital infection control protocols and hygiene standards
  • Experience in sterilization procedures for medical equipment and OT instruments
  • Familiarity with handling sterilization equipment (autoclaves, plasma sterilizers, ETO sterilizers, ultrasonic cleaners, etc.)
  • Ability to conduct infection surveillance and maintain hospital hygiene reports
  • Knowledge of biomedical waste management and hospital-acquired infection (HAI) prevention
  • Proficiency in training hospital staff on infection prevention and PPE usage
  • Basic computer skills for data entry and documentation

Aurora Specialized Hospital, located in Kakrail, Dhaka, is seeking a qualified and experienced Technician (Infection Control) to join our healthcare team. This role is crucial in ensuring infection prevention, sterilization, and hygiene standards within the hospital, contributing to a safe environment for patients and staff.

Location: 19/1 Kakrail, Dhaka-1000.

Job Description:

  • Implement and oversee infection prevention protocols across hospital departments.
  • Sterilize and maintain medical equipment, surgical instruments, and OT supplies following strict infection control standards.
  • Monitor and enforce hygiene policies in patient care areas, ICU, OT, and isolation wards.
  • Ensure proper disposal and segregation of biomedical waste in compliance with national health regulations.
  • Assist in conducting infection control audits and prepare reports on hospital infection rates.
  • Collaborate with hospital staff and infection control officers to maintain a contamination-free environment.
  • Conduct training sessions for healthcare professionals and staff on best practices for infection prevention.
  • Ensure the proper use of disinfectants and sterilization chemicals in medical facilities.
  • Handle emergency decontamination procedures in case of an outbreak or contamination risk.
  • Maintain sterilization and infection control records, ensuring compliance with healthcare standards (WHO, CDC, JCI).
