  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex ideas and concepts clearly and persuasively.
  • Proven track record of successfully securing government tenders and contracts, with a focus on software systems or IT solutions.
  • Strong analytical and research skills, with the ability to gather, interpret, and synthesize information from multiple sources.
  • High level of attention to detail and accuracy, with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
  • Team player with strong interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate effectively across departments and functions.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and tender management software.
  • Willingness to travel as needed for client meetings, site visits, and industry events.

Responsibilities & Context

  • Research and identify government agencies and departments that require software systems and solutions relevant to our offerings.
  • Monitor government procurement portals, industry news, and networking events to stay informed about upcoming IT projects and initiatives.
  • Gather and analyze tender documentation, including request for proposals (RFPs), request for quotations (RFQs), and invitations to tender (ITTs).
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including sales, product development, and legal, to assess tender requirements and develop winning bid strategies.
  • Prepare and compile tender submissions, ensuring compliance with all requirements and deadlines.
  • Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders within government organizations, including procurement officers, IT directors, project managers, and decision-makers.
  • Coordinate with technical teams to develop customized solutions and proposals tailored to the specific needs of each tender.
  • Participate in pre-bid meetings, site visits, and other activities to gather information and understand client requirements.
  • Negotiate terms and conditions of contracts, including pricing, scope of work, and service level agreements, to ensure mutually beneficial outcomes.
  • Track and report on tender outcomes, including success rates, revenue generated, and lessons learned.
  • Stay informed about industry trends, regulatory changes, and best practices in government procurement to inform bid strategies and tactics.
  • Maintain accurate records of tender activities, documents, and correspondence for future reference and analysis.
  • Provide regular updates and reports on project acquisition activities, pipeline status, and performance metrics to senior management.
  • Directly engage with clients to meticulously gather project requirements, ensuring optimal outcomes through collaborative refinement processes.
  • Collaborate closely with the Product Manager to formulate precise development timelines, ensuring alignment with project objectives and delivery milestones.
  • Manage manpower allocation needs and facilitate product costing analysis to ascertain comprehensive project expenses.
  • Utilize expertise in conducting market studies to gather and analyze data, providing insights into emerging market dynamics and trends.
