- Minimum 03 years of experience in providing training on agriculture and farm supervision
- Hands-on knowledge and experience of climate-resilient agro-based practices (agriculture, poultry raising, fish farming, and cattle rearing), WASH, rainwater harvesting, and food security (storage, nutrition for children, etc.)
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Proficiency in ICT.
Responsibilities & Context
- SOS Children’s Village International in Bangladesh (www.sos-bangladesh.org) is a non-governmental social devolvement organisation provides care for the children who have lost parental care or who are at risk of losing parental care and deprived of caring family environment. SOS Children’s Villages works in more than 130 countries and territories around the world. In Bangladesh, we have been working since 1972 and presently has programmes in Dhaka, Rajshahi, Khulna, Chattogram, Bogura, Sylhet and Bagerhat.
- Our Programmes contribute to delivering on SDGs with a special focus on our target group to improve national social protection system, fighting inequalities, promoting access to quality education, strengthening youth employability and ending violence against children.
- SOS Bangladesh is going to launch a project for economic empowerment of vulnerable youths and community members through the utilization of climate resilient sustainable agricultural projects. Application is invited for the following position:
- Location of Job: SOS Youth Village-cum-Training Centre Bagerhat, Khulna
- Nature of Job: Contractual for 03 years (2025-2027)
Key Areas of Responsibilities:
- Conduct agricultural training courses for the project participants.
- Provide practical training for participants on climate-resilient agro-based practices including agriculture, poultry raising, cattle rearing, and rainwater harvesting.
- Maintain and supervise agro-tools and equipment of the centre. Side by side, teach the trainees the utilities and their use.
- Supervise farm activities and maintain different registers for farm products.
Compensation & Other Benefits
- Salary & Benefits: BDT 35,000/= (Consolidated) + Residential Single Accommodation.
