  • Knowledge on ASRH, related intervention, life skill education and livelihood for young.
  • Good communication skills to manage big group of different categories of participants, strong interpersonal skills to work cooperatively with teams, local counterparts, donors, and other stakeholders to achieve results.
  • Fluency in Bangla both orally and in writing and writing in English are required.
  • Competent and dedicated staff that can be reached for feedback.
  • Excellent communication, networking and analytic writing skills.
  • Computer Literacy with capacity of communication through digital means.
  • Team building and leading capacity and ability to work under pressure and meet the deadline.
  • The applicant should have a brief knowledge and practice on child safeguarding, Gender responsiveness, environmental safeguarding and conflict transformative management.
  • Able to drive motorbike with valid driving license.

Responsibilities & Context

DASCOH Foundation is a non-government and non-profitable organization. Utilizing local knowledge of the people at grass root and available resources at local level, DASCOH has put forward an alternative participatory development process. It has developed a professional workforce with flexible decision-making capacity. DASCOH is using supportive supervision & coaching method to develop human capital and thus helping to develop the capacity of local government institutions, which is reflected in the project planning and management with local government, private sector, donors and the community. Currently, it operates ten projects, covering the thematic areas of health, climate adaptation, human rights, quality education, livelihood improvement, etc. mainly covering Rajshahi division but all over the country. Several projects are ongoing in the thematic areas and information technology support are required for innovation, monitoring, analysis and showcasing good practices and achievements.

DASCOH is seeking application from qualified individual for the role of project Training Officer (TO) for its “Improving young people’s access to sexual and reproductive health and rights (SRHR) through a community- based approach and cooperation with state institutions” (A-EMPOWER) project which aims to improving the sexual and reproductive health and rights of adolescents in Rajshahi, Chapainawabgonj and Naogaon Districts of Rajshahi Division, Bangladesh in line with SDG 3.7 “Ensure universal access to sexual and reproductive health services, including family planning, information and education, and mainstream reproductive health into national policies and programs.

The incumbent will support the organization conducting the training intervention of the project in coordination with the program and organizational management, government stakeholders, donors, partners and other stakeholders. S/he will be responsible for ensuring the conduction of all planned training activities under the implementation plan. S/he will be responsible for planning, arranging and conducting training in coordination with government counterpart as per the government guidelines and manuals. S/He will also be responsible for designing and developing training guideline and manual if the topics is not available in government curriculum in coordination with expert from the relevant sectors.

Responsibilities are:

  • Arrange and conduct training component in collaborate with organization, government stakeholders and donor.
  • Maintain accurate compliance records and reports along for all training activities.
  • Plan and micro plan the designed training activities as per area and set target as per convenience of the beneficiaries and authorities.
  • Identify the training participants as per project design, coordinate with department, and arrange administrative formalities.
  • Adopt the government manual and guideline as per need and duration, communicate with relevant expert to conduct the training.
  • In case of availability of such standard government resources arrange and develop content and guideline in coordination with relevant expert in specific area.
  • Ensure effective communication and collaboration with local authority of DGFP, DGHS, selected schools, department of education, local government institutions (LGI), department of youth, MOWCA, administration and private partners to leverage support in activity planning, advocacy and implementation.
  • Support all function of DASCOH life skill and livelihood training centre as per the project planned and committed interventions, also communicate with relevant authorities for ensuring standard curriculum and guideline development, resource arrangement and operation.
  • Responsible for regular reporting and training documentation and communication as per organization and donor need.
  • Trained up the community volunteer as per the plan to equip them with appropriate knowledge of ASRH.
  • Ensure community and especially adolescent/youth engagement for participating in the monthly session.
  • Ensure the safety of team members from any harm, abuse, neglect, harassment and exploitation to achieve the programme’s goals of safeguarding implementation. Act as a key source of support, guidance and expertise on safeguarding for establishing a safe working environment.
  • Practice, promote and endorse the issues of safeguarding policy among team members and ensure the implementation of safeguarding standards in every course of action.
  • Follow the safeguarding reporting procedure in case any reportable incident takes place and encourage others to do so.
