Requirements

Education

• Masters, Master of Commerce (MCom) in Accounting

• Minimum Master’s Degree preferably in Accounting / Finance / Economics or MBA with Accounting/Finance concentration.

Experience

• At least 15 years

• Minimum 2 first divisions/classes in Board/University examinations.
• No third division/class in any examination.
• Strong IT proficiency & communication skills.
• At least 15 years of experience in university teaching, administration or financial management in any reputed university or organization.

Responsibilities & Context

We are looking for a skilled and experienced Treasurer.

• Supervision of University funds, proper recording of revenue and expenditure accounts, annual budget preparation, financial management with discipline and accounting system.
• Prepare periodic financial forecasts to facilitate the long term financial planning & report on the financial state of the University to the Vice Chancellor and Board of Trustees.
• Provide strategic advice to the Vice Chancellor and Board of Trustees to promote fiscal transparency and financial sustainability.
• Plan and supervise workshops with University staff to ensure compliance with University policies and procedures and Government regulations.
• Perform miscellaneous job related duties as assigned by the Vice Chancellor and the Board of Trustees.
