  • Master’s degree in Education, Early Childhood Development, or related field required.
  • Education related certification or license would be a definite asset.

  • Age at least 40 years
  • Minimum of 5 years of previous experience in early childhood education, including teaching and administrative roles.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate others.
  • Advanced communication skills in English (reading, writing and speaking). Nice to have IELTS 7.0 average or above.
  • Computer skills are a must. MS-Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), G-Suite, Email, etc.
  • Ability to respond to any after-hours matter regarding school and facility.
  • Preferred Qualifications:
  • Excellent interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
  • Knowledge of educational standards, curriculum development, and assessment practices.
  • Commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion in education.
  • Proficiency in educational technology and data-driven decision-making.
  • CPR and first aid certification (preferred).

Responsibilities & Context

Overview: Our institution has been running successfully over 30 years. We have a student body of 800+ annually and a staff of 50+. We pride ourselves in delivering quality education within the affordability of our community and preparing children for admission into top schools in Dhaka. We have the track record of success to prove it. We are seeking a dynamic and experienced individual to serve as the Vice Principal of our well established and well reputed kindergarten school in the community.

The ideal candidate will be passionate about early childhood education, possess strong leadership skills, and demonstrate a commitment to creating a nurturing and stimulating learning environment for young children.

Responsibilities:

Educational Leadership:

  • Provide visionary leadership to create and maintain a positive school culture conducive to the holistic development of young children.
  • Develop and implement academic programs that align with educational standards and promote the cognitive, social, emotional, and physical development of students.
  • Foster a collaborative and supportive environment among staff, parents, and the community to enhance student learning and well-being.
  • Stay updated on best practices and research in early childhood education and incorporate innovative teaching methods into the curriculum.

Administrative Management:

  • Oversee daily operations of the kindergarten school, including scheduling, budgeting, and resource allocation.
  • Recruit, hire, supervise, and evaluate teaching and administrative staff to ensure high-quality instruction and effective school management.
  • Manage student enrolment process, attendance, academic performance, and other relevant data.
  • Oversee all school events throughout the year, i.e. parents day, sports day, dress as you like, annual picnic and other activities.
  • Ensure compliance with government regulations related to early childhood education, health, safety, and student welfare.
  • Administration of after-hour cultural activities at the school premise.

Community Engagement:

  • Build positive relationships with parents, guardians, and community stakeholders through regular communication, meetings, and events.
  • Collaborate with local organizations, businesses, and educational institutions to provide additional resources and support for students and families.
  • Serve as an advocate for early childhood education and represent the kindergarten school at community forums, conferences, and other public events.
  • Student Support and Discipline:
  • Implement effective strategies for promoting positive behavior and managing disciplinary issues in accordance with school policies and procedures.
  • Monitor the academic progress, social development, and well-being of students and provide appropriate interventions and support services as needed.
  • Work closely with teachers, counselors, and support staff to address the individual needs of students and ensure their success in school.
