Requirements
Education
- Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Mechanical Engineering
- Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Electrical & Electronic Engineering
- Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Textile Engineering
Experience
- At least 3 years
- The applicants should have experience in the following business area(s): Garments
Additional Requirements
B.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering / Electrical Engineering / Textile Engineering (preferably with a focus on Garment or Apparel Engineering).
Strong technical knowledge of sewing and finishing machinery used in knit garments.
Knowledge of preventive and breakdown maintenance practices.
Understanding of machine layout, installation, and utility mapping.
Ability to troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues independently.
Basic understanding of safety protocols and compliance standards in the RMG sector.
Responsibilities & Context
Execute day-to-day maintenance activities of sewing machines, finishing equipment, and utilities across the production floor.
Carry out preventive, corrective, and breakdown maintenance to ensure machines run at optimal performance.
Maintain maintenance records, logs, and reports systematically using maintenance software or manual logs.
Collaborate with production and IE teams to ensure machine settings are optimized for specific styles and fabrics.
Monitor machine spare parts inventory and raise requisitions as required.
Assist in the installation, calibration, and commissioning of new machines and equipment.
Ensure all maintenance tasks comply with health, safety, and environmental standards.
Provide training and technical support to junior technicians or operators when necessary.
Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance machine efficiency and reduce maintenance costs.
