Requirements

Education

B.Sc/Diploma in Civil Engineering or any related discipline.

Experience

  • 2 to 6 years
  • The applicants should have experience in the following business area(s):
    NGO, Development Agency

Additional Requirements

  • Age at least 18 years
  • Proven technical WASH experience: 2 years for Master Degree/ 04 years for Bachelor Degree or 6 years for diploma in civil engineer.
  • Proven experience in management (team management, supervision, activity planning)
  • Proven experience in organizing/ facilitating training.
  • Proven Experience in Repair and Maintenance WASH Facilities.
  • Proven Experience in Hygiene Promotional activity
  • Experience on vending machine management will added value.

Responsibilities & Context

Objective 1: Implement of the ACF WASH activities

  • Preparing the work plan considering the target of the project period.
  • Ensure implementation of the WASH activities as per the work plan and or defined by his/her supervisor.
  • Validate the relevance of the intervention area, the selection of beneficiaries, and identification of committed players.
  • Ensure the project’s technical follow-up for his/her component.
  • Plan the activities according to the development of the project.
  • Follow the activity advancement by regular visits;
  • Preparing the activity reports.

Objective 2: Scaling up access to improved sanitation facilities

  • Preparing the drawing, design and BoQ of the facilities
  • Propose solutions or improvements for better performance of the activities
  • Regular Monitoring the activity of the construction work
  • Preparing the details work plan for the construction work and implement as well
  • Preparing the activity progress report of the relevant activities

Objective 3: Participate in Monitoring and Supervision of the project activities

  • Regular monitor the WASH activities at field level ;
  • Prepare monitoring tools according to the project indicators.
  • Monitor and follow up the staff’s activities
  • Assist and guidance the staff for smooth functioning of the project.

Objective 4: Conducting and follow up of HP session, WASH Committee and beneficiaries capacity building activities

  • Regular follow up and monitoring the HP activities at field level;
  • Conduct training for different Committee, volunteers and stakeholders in collaboration with local authority and external partners.
  • Installation and maintenance of sanitary napkin vending machines in schools
  • Assist to Program Manager for preparing training budget.
  • Development of the IEC/ BCC materials and training module considering the context

Objective 5: Strengthening Ownership through Advocacy and Partnerships

  • Defining the approach with local stakeholders, other organizations and LGIs.
  • Support management plan development In case of disease outbreaks or adverse natural events.
  • Conduct training for the staff for capacity development.
  • Work to establish a community repair and maintenance group

Objective 6: Efficient management of the field stock

  • Proper list of require materials and share with line for furthers process of the procurements.
  • Ensure the quality of the materials in the field level or in the base level (if needed).
  • Ensure the proper use of the materials in the field level.
  • Ensure steps of stock management (stock card, bin card etc.) respecting the ACF and partner organization policy.
  • Ensuring the availability of the required materials (ensuring the SRO or relevant document) in the field level.
  • Periodical physical inventory or when needed.

Objective 7: Proactively support ACFs commitments to gender equality, child protection and disability sensitivity

  • Read and ensure a full understanding of ACFs Gender Minimum Standards & Child Protection Policies, asking questions and/or for support when necessary
  • Implement all work related activities with a gender, disability and child protection lens, taking into account the different needs, concerns and ideas of our staff and beneficiaries
  • Ensure the incorporation of gender equity principles in all policies and activities
  • Encourage the participation of all genders in meeting and on committees
  • Help build an inclusive office environment where people do not feel disadvantaged or judged according to their gender or limited due to manageable disability.
